President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is expected to depart Abuja for Ogun State on Sunday to attend the eighth-day Fidau prayer in honour of the late Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, GCON. The prayer ceremony is being held to pay final respects to the revered monarch, who passed away recently after decades of impactful traditional leadership.

President Tinubu’s participation in the event underscores the high regard he holds for the late Oba Adetona, whose reign was marked by wisdom, peacebuilding, and service to the Yoruba nation and Nigeria at large. The President is expected to join other dignitaries, royal fathers, and members of the Ijebu community in paying tribute to the late traditional ruler.
