
Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, has announced that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is expected to sign the National Digital Economy and E-Governance Bill, 2025 into law this week.
Tijani made the statement on Monday during a public hearing jointly convened by the Senate and House of Representatives Committees on ICT and Cybersecurity.
The minister said the bill is a key catalyst for achieving Nigeria’s projected $1 trillion economy and will be the first of its kind in Africa, highlighting the country’s leadership role in driving digital transformation across the continent.
