President Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrived in Lagos on Friday for a working visit to the former seat of government as Nigeria prepares for a subdued 65th Independence Anniversary celebration.

The President’s visit to Lagos follows his attendance at the coronation of His Imperial Majesty, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, in the ancient city of Ibadan, Oyo State.

During his stay in Lagos, President Tinubu is scheduled to meet with key figures in Nigeria’s private sector alongside senior government officials to discuss ongoing initiatives and collaborative opportunities.

Looking ahead, the President will travel to Imo State on Tuesday, September 30, to commission developmental projects completed under Governor Hope Uzodimma’s administration.

As part of the Independence celebrations, President Tinubu will also officially commission the remodelled National Theatre, which has been renamed the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and the Creative Arts, highlighting the administration’s commitment to preserving Nigeria’s cultural heritage.
