President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on state governors to place greater emphasis on the welfare of Nigerians at the grassroots level, especially as public concerns over economic hardship and cost of living continue to mount.

The President made this known during a closed-door engagement with governors, where he reminded them that their success would be measured not just by policies on paper, but by the real-life impact of those policies in rural communities and among ordinary citizens.

President Tinubu emphasized that the Renewed Hope Agenda is built on a foundation of inclusivity and people-centred governance. He urged the governors to ensure that federal interventions, relief programs, and development projects directly reach the most vulnerable Nigerians across all local government areas.
