President Bola Ahmed Tinubu met with All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders and governorship aspirants in Osun State, calling for unity and consensus ahead of the party’s primary on December 13. The meeting, held at the State House in Abuja, included aspirants such as former Deputy Governor Benedict Olugboyega Alabi, Akin Ogunbiyi, Senator Babajide Omoworare, and others, alongside key party leaders including APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda and SGF Senator George Akume.
Tinubu praised the aspirants for their contributions to the party and urged them to support the consensus candidate, emphasizing party supremacy, collective responsibility, and avoiding internal divisions that previously led to electoral losses.
The meeting ended with a joint statement in which all aspirants pledged to respect the party’s nomination process, support the consensus candidate, and work together to ensure APC’s victory in the 2025 Osun State Governorship Election.
