The Federal Government, under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is advancing its agenda for economic diversification and industrial growth by strengthening indigenous technological capacity. This commitment was highlighted during the Honourable Minister of Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole’s visit to the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) headquarters in Abuja, where the agency showcased homegrown innovations aimed at bridging Nigeria’s digital divide and positioning the country as both a creator and exporter of technology.

During the tour, the Minister inspected locally developed products and technological solutions that underscore Nigeria’s potential to produce “Proudly Made in Nigeria” goods for both domestic use and export. She commended NASENI’s efforts, stressing that indigenous technology development is vital for boosting trade, attracting investment, generating employment, and enhancing the nation’s economic resilience.

President Tinubu’s administration has placed strong emphasis on promoting science, engineering, and technology through strategic institutions like NASENI. By investing in local innovation and fostering export-oriented manufacturing, the government seeks to reduce import dependency, strengthen Nigeria’s competitiveness in the global market, and create sustainable economic opportunities for citizens.
