The Federal Government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced the second phase of the Integrated Development and Empowerment for Skills (IDEAS) and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) initiative. This phase aims to train 30,000 Nigerian youths across the country, equipping them with technical and vocational skills critical for employment and entrepreneurship.
The program will provide hands-on training, mentorship, and support to help youths gain competencies in sectors such as agriculture, ICT, renewable energy, and manufacturing. The initiative aligns with President Tinubu’s vision to empower Nigerian youth, reduce unemployment, and foster economic growth through skills development.
Beneficiaries will also receive access to tools, startup resources, and potential pathways to funding, ensuring that the acquired skills translate into tangible economic opportunities. The government emphasized that this phase builds on the successes of the first phase, which saw thousands of youths successfully trained and employed.
By investing in youth skills development, President Tinubu’s administration seeks to create a generation of self-reliant, productive Nigerians capable of contributing to national development and global competitiveness.
