#Protest: Police arrest 277 suspected looters in Jigawa

Jigawa State Police Command announced on Thursday the arrest of over 277 suspected looters amidst ongoing hunger protests.

DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, the command’s spokesman, provided an update, revealing that 13 additional suspects were apprehended on Wednesday.

The arrests took place in the Gumel, Roni, and Birnin Kudu Local Government Areas. Recovered items from the looters include“five cushion chairs, two standing fans, five ceiling fans, two refrigerators, four doors, 10 iron drawers, two fire extinguishers, two printers, two CPUs, and one stabilizer.”

DSP Shiisu emphasized that the state remains calm at the moment.
