Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has expressed confidence that peace will return to the state, emphasizing that he does not “shout or complain” about the challenges because he believes God is with him.
Fubara made the remarks on Sunday during an interdenominational church service held to commemorate the 2026 Armed Forces Remembrance Day. The service took place at St. Cyprian’s Anglican Church in Port Harcourt, the state capital.
Speaking to congregants, the governor highlighted his reliance on faith and divine guidance in navigating the state’s issues, stressing that calm and steady leadership is key to resolving challenges.
The event brought together clergy, security officials, and community leaders in a solemn ceremony honoring Nigeria’s armed forces.
