Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, known as Rudeboy, has accused his twin brother Peter Okoye (Mr. P) of stealing his intellectual property. In an Instagram post on Thursday, Rudeboy claimed that Mr. P’s new single, Winning, was originally intended for his upcoming album.

Mr. P released Winning a few months after the two brothers confirmed that their joint music group, Psquare, had disbanded once again. Rudeboy further alleged that the track had been taken over by the music producer.

“Written and sung by Rudeboy. Produced by the same producer. Now how come? Am I supposed to release another version?” he posted. “Mr. Producer, your case is for another day. All I asked was to each bring six songs. I submitted my six to the management, so why are you singing my song, word for word? A song meant for my album next June.”

Rudeboy also warned that he would release “original versions of any copied songs” and declared, “The days of manipulation are over. And to the management—if I hear any song that’s mine, I’ll release the original version. Oloriburuku! Music isn’t that hard,” he wrote.

Psquare originally split in 2017 due to a rift between the two brothers. They reunited in November 2021, but the reunion was short-lived. Recently, Paul accused Peter of causing his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), signaling another fallout between the two.
