The Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammadu Sunusi II, condemned the recent destruction of property at the Kano State Printing Press by hoodlums during nationwide protests.

Following an inspection of the affected sites, including the NCC Digital Centre, he emphasized the need for proactive measures to protect lives and property, especially when credible security threats are identified.

Sanusi expressed confidence that Kano State would overcome these challenges and continue to grow. He called for a thorough investigation into the incident, suggesting that some individuals were determined to destroy Kano.

He alleged that the youths involved in the attacks were recruited by enemies of the state to act against the city’s interests.

Highlighting the historical significance of the printing press, built in 1933, and his family’s connection to it, the emir urged Kano youths to be wary of those who seek to harm the state and to recognize their true enemies.

His visit and condemnation of the destruction demonstrated his commitment to maintaining peace and stability in Kano State and his determination to support the state’s recovery from recent challenges.
