
The Nigerian Senate has approved President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s request for the deployment of Nigerian troops to the Republic of Benin on a peace mission following the ongoing attempted coup in the country.
The approval was granted during plenary after the President’s request was read and considered by lawmakers. The deployment is aimed at supporting peacekeeping efforts and restoring stability in Benin.
