The Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs has cleared former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, as an ambassador-designate. He was approved alongside former Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau, during hearings held on Thursday.

The committee reviewed their nominations as part of the National Assembly’s approval process for filling long-vacant diplomatic positions. The screenings are part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ongoing diplomatic appointments, aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s representation abroad.
