The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, CON, has invited members of the Council of State and the Police Council to a hybrid strategic meeting scheduled for Thursday, October 9, 2025.

According to the Permanent Secretary of the Cabinet Affairs Office, Dr. Emanso Okop Umobong, the meeting will focus on matters of national importance, with particular attention to issues affecting national security and policing.

The meetings are scheduled as follows: a session with the Council of State at 1:00 pm and a session with the Police Council at 2:00 pm. Both meetings will hold at the Council Chambers, Aso Villa, and members may attend either physically or virtually.

The high-level meeting reflects President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to addressing pressing national challenges and ensuring the safety and security of all citizens.
