VP Shettima Leaves Nigeria for Côte d’Ivoire

Vice President Kashim Shettima departed Abuja for Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, on Wednesday morning.

In a statement released by Stanley Nkwocha, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media & Communications (Office of The Vice President), it was announced that Shettima will attend the opening ceremony of the 2024 International Exhibition of Extractive and Energy Resources (SIREXE) conference.

The SIREXE conference, organized by the Government of Côte d’Ivoire, will focus on “Policies and Strategy for the Sustainable Development of the Extractive and Energy Industries” and will take place from November 27 to December 2, 2024, at the Abidjan Exhibition Centre.

At the invitation of Côte d’Ivoire’s Vice President, Tiémoko Meyliet Koné, Vice President Shettima will use the opportunity to share Nigeria’s experiences in the hydrocarbon exploration and production sectors.

Shettima is expected to return to Abuja later today.
