Six members of the Rivers State House of Representatives, all aligned with former Governor Nyesom Wike, have officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) during a plenary session on Tuesday.

The lawmakers are:

Hon. Solomon Bob Hon. Victor Obuzor Hon. Dumnamene Dekor Hon. Cyril Hart Hon. Blessing Amadi Hon. Felix Nwaeke

The move is expected to strengthen the APC’s position in the state legislature ahead of upcoming political activities.
