Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has declared his support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

Soludo made this known during a television interview in Awka, stating that he remains committed to Tinubu’s victory and has no apologies for his position. He described the President as a friend and ally, urging other presidential aspirants to reconsider their ambitions ahead of the polls.

The governor also revealed that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) will not field a presidential candidate in 2027, opting instead to align with the ruling party at the centre.

According to him, the decision is a strategic move aimed at strengthening cooperation and advancing development, noting that APGA has adopted a similar stance in previous elections.

Soludo expressed confidence that President Tinubu deserves a second term, citing what he described as a productive working relationship between his administration and the federal government.

Nigeria’s next general elections are scheduled for 2027, when President Tinubu is expected to seek re-election.
