
A passenger aircraft’s tail caught fire at an international airport in South Korea’s second-largest city on Tuesday, prompting the evacuation of all 176 people on board, according to Yonhap News Agency.
The Air Busan flight, which was scheduled to depart from Gimhae International Airport in Busan for Hong Kong, caught fire around 10:30 p.m. local time (1330 GMT), the agency reported.
All 169 passengers and seven crew members were evacuated using inflatable slides. Yonhap noted that one person was injured but provided no further details about their condition or the cause of the fire.
Busan’s fire authorities were unavailable for comment when contacted by AFP.
