Galatasaray Femeni (Spor Kulübü) has announced the signing of Super Falcons striker Flourish Chioma Sabastine on a one-year contract.
Sabastine becomes the third Nigerian player to join Galatasaray in recent months, following international teammate Tosin Demehin and reigning African Footballer of the Year, Victor Osimhen, who plays for the men’s team.
She arrives at the Yellow and Reds from French club Stade Reims, reuniting with Demehin, who signed with Galatasaray in September.
A product of Unnich FA, Sabastine previously played for Bayelsa Queens in Nigeria, where she earned recognition as one of the league’s most promising talents, winning three titles.
Her standout performances at the 2022 and 2024 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cups included scoring the decisive goals for the Falconets against France and Korea Republic, as well as contributing to a 4-0 victory over Venezuela.
At just 20 years old, Sabastine was part of the Super Falcons squad that faced Japan in a friendly in 2022, where she came off the bench to replace Uchenna Kanu in the final minutes.
The Aba-born forward will be looking to follow in Osimhen’s footsteps, who has made an impressive start to his Galatasaray career with eight goal contributions in his first seven games across all competitions.
