The National Assembly has postponed its plenary sessions until July 22, 2025, as a mark of respect for the late former President Muhammadu Buhari

The announcement was made in a statement issued on Monday by the Clerk to the National Assembly, Kamoru Ogunlana.

According to the statement, “I am directed by the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives to inform all members of the National Assembly, as well as the general public, that all legislative activities are hereby suspended with immediate effect until Tuesday, 22nd July, 2025.”
