Tinubu Appoints Adeladan Olarinre, Mukhtar Muhammed as Permanent Secretaries

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Adeladan Olarinre and Mukhtar Muhammed as permanent secretaries in the Federal Civil Service to fill existing vacancies.

According to a statement released in Abuja by Eno Olotu, Director of Information and Public Relations, Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Olarinre will represent Oyo State, while Muhammed will represent the North-West geopolitical zone.

Olotu emphasized that the appointments were made through a rigorous and transparent selection process, reflecting the administration’s commitment to meritocracy and excellence in public service. The new appointees are expected to use their expertise to enhance public service delivery and support the government’s development agenda.

This follows previous appointments of eight permanent secretaries in December 2024 from various states and geopolitical zones, as well as another eight in June 2024.

The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Walson-Jack, commended President Tinubu for prioritizing transparency and professionalism in the civil service, stating that these appointments align with the government’s goal of building a competent and results-driven public sector.
