President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the procurement of additional military equipment to strengthen Nigeria’s fight against terrorism and other security threats across the country.

The decision followed high-level security consultations aimed at enhancing the operational capacity of the Armed Forces as troops intensify operations against terrorists, bandits, and other criminal groups in several parts of the country.

The new military hardware is expected to improve surveillance, mobility, and combat effectiveness of security forces on the frontline as the Federal Government continues efforts to restore peace and stability in affected communities.
