President Bola Tinubu has commended the Sir Emeka Offor Foundation for its nationwide medical book distribution programme aimed at strengthening healthcare education in Nigeria.
The President praised Sir Emeka Offor, an oil magnate, entrepreneur and philanthropist, for the initiative through which the foundation facilitated the procurement and shipment of ten 40-foot containers of current medical and nursing books and journals from the United States of America into Nigeria.
The consignment, secured in response to a special request from the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, is expected to be distributed to tertiary medical institutions across the six geopolitical zones of the country.
President Tinubu noted that the generous intervention would help strengthen healthcare education and academic capacity at the institutional level. He also thanked the Chief Executive of Chrome Group for his continued support for initiatives that promote education, health and human capital development, while urging him to sustain his philanthropic efforts and support for worthy causes.
