Tinubu Felicitates Ifedayo Abegunde ‘Abena’ on Birthday

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has joined family, friends and associates to celebrate Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde, widely known as Abena, as he marks his birthday on January 9.

The President described Abegunde as a dependable ally and a seasoned professional whose career reflects dedication to service, integrity and loyalty. He noted that Abegunde’s journey spans engineering, public administration and legislative service, underscoring his versatility and commitment to national development.

Abegunde was elected twice to the House of Representatives, where he represented Akure North/Akure South Federal Constituency of Ondo State. He later served as Secretary to the Ondo State Government and currently holds the position of Executive Director, Corporate Services, at the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

President Tinubu also acknowledged Abegunde’s international experience, recalling his years of service in the United States as a Systems Engineer with the State of Maryland and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

According to the President, Abegunde’s political career has been defined by resilience, grassroots connection and an unwavering belief in the public good, even in the face of political challenges.

As he marks another year, President Tinubu wished Hon. Abegunde good health, long life and renewed strength to continue contributing meaningfully to Nigeria’s growth and governance.
