President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has launched the rollout of the Tertiary Institutions Staff Support Fund (TISSF), with the Federal Government disbursing ₦3.7 billion to about 2,000 beneficiaries drawn from universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education across the country.

The initiative, implemented as part of the Renewed Hope Agenda, is designed to provide financial relief and support to academic and non-academic staff through accessible funding for personal development, small businesses, healthcare, and other priority needs. Beneficiaries are drawn from multiple tertiary institutions nationwide, ensuring broad impact.

Officials say the fund is expected to boost staff welfare, enhance productivity across the tertiary education sector, and strengthen institutional performance, while also contributing to national economic growth through increased financial inclusion and enterprise development.
