President Bola Ahmed Tinubu met with retired Chief of Defence Staff Christopher Musa at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Monday evening. The meeting, the first between them since Musa’s retirement on October 24, 2025, was held behind closed doors, and no public agenda was released.
General Musa arrived at the State House around 7:03 p.m., dressed in traditional northern attire, and was led into the President’s office area by a senior security official. Observers suggest the meeting may be linked to recent security challenges across parts of the country.
As the country continues to confront rising insecurity, including kidnappings and attacks in several northern states, this private meeting underscores the government’s efforts to coordinate with former military leadership to address evolving security threats and restore stability.
