President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has nominated Mr. Taiwo Oyedele as Minister of State for Finance. Oyedele, who previously chaired the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reform, will take over from Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite.

Dr. Uzoka-Anite will now move to the Ministry of Budget and National Planning, marking her third ministerial portfolio in the current administration.

Oyedele, 50, is an economist, accountant, and public policy expert. He studied accountancy and finance at Yaba College of Technology and earned a BSc in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University. He also completed executive programs at the London School of Economics, Yale University, the Gordon Institute of Business Science, and Harvard Kennedy School.

He spent over two decades at PwC, rising to Fiscal Policy Partner and Africa Tax Leader, and is currently a professor at Babcock University and a visiting scholar at Lagos Business School.
