President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Hajiya Umma, mother of former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai.

Hajiya Umma passed away in Cairo after an illness, drawing condolences from across political and social circles.

Reacting to the development, President Tinubu sympathised with El-Rufai and his family, describing the deceased as a respected matriarch whose life was defined by dedication to family and strong values.

He noted that her legacy lives on through her children and grandchildren, many of whom have contributed positively to national development.

The President acknowledged the emotional weight of losing a mother, stating that such a loss is deeply personal and difficult to bear. He urged the bereaved family to find comfort in her enduring impact and the memories she leaves behind.

Tinubu also offered prayers for the repose of her soul, asking Allah to grant her Aljannah Firdaus and give the family the strength to bear the loss.
