President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday in Abuja swore in the newly appointed Chairman of the National Population Commission (NPC), Dr Aminu Yusuf.

The swearing in ceremony took place at the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting where the President formally administered the oath of office to the new chairman.

Dr Yusuf was sworn in alongside two other members of the NPC Board, Dr Joseph Haruna Kigbu and Tonga Betara Bulatafa, who also took their oaths before the council.

The appointments mark another step in strengthening the leadership of the NPC as the commission continues preparations for future population and demographic planning initiatives.
