
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to commission a 60-megawatt power plant and other major infrastructure projects in April, according to Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri. The governor disclosed this while outlining preparations for the President’s visit, noting that the projects are part of ongoing efforts to boost development in the state.
Governor Diri explained that the 60MW independent power plant is expected to significantly improve electricity supply, support economic activities, and enhance living standards for residents. He added that other projects lined up for commissioning include critical infrastructure aimed at strengthening transportation, urban development, and public services.
He further described the planned visit as a major milestone for Bayelsa State, emphasizing that the projects reflect the state government’s commitment to sustainable growth and partnership with the Federal Government. He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his continued support for infrastructural development and expressed optimism that the commissioning would open new opportunities for investment and accelerate development across the state.
