President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has pledged to eliminate banditry and restore peace, stability, and security in Northern Nigeria. Speaking at the 25th Anniversary of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) in Kaduna, Tinubu emphasized the urgent need to address the region’s deep-rooted insecurity, while also highlighting economic opportunities, including the development of crude oil resources and infrastructure projects.

The President called on Northern leaders, civil society, and traditional institutions to unite in rebuilding the moral and social fabric of the region. He also endorsed initiatives like the ACF Endowment Fund to support girl-child education, youth empowerment, and peacebuilding.

Tinubu further inaugurated housing projects for victims of banditry and vowed to deploy technology, surveillance, and coordinated security operations to reclaim areas used by criminals as hideouts.
