The Federal Government has taken another bold step in its digital transformation drive with the launch of the Interior Electronic Records and Archival System (IntERAS).

The initiative, unveiled under the leadership of the Honourable Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji Ojo, is designed to modernize record-keeping, streamline services, and strengthen efficiency across the ministry.

The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson Jack, and other senior government officials were present at the ceremony, which was hailed as a milestone in the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

IntERAS is expected to complement ongoing reforms in passport and visa issuance, as well as the digitalization of landing and exit cards and the Combined Expatriate Residence Permit and Aliens Card (CERPAC).

Dr. Tunji Ojo commended the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Magdalene Ajani, and the ministry’s technical team for their commitment to making the project a reality, stressing that the system will bring transparency, accountability, and speed to service delivery.
