A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Fagbemi, has expressed confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid will be smooth, citing the backing of about 30 APC governors across the country.

Fagbemi said the strong presence of APC governors provides the party with a solid political structure and grassroots support capable of delivering electoral success. He noted that the governors’ control of party machinery at the state level would play a critical role in mobilising voters ahead of the next general election.

According to him, the performance of the Tinubu administration and the internal cohesion within the APC further strengthen the president’s prospects, adding that the party remains focused on consolidating its hold on power and expanding its influence nationwide.

His remarks come amid growing political alignments and early positioning by major parties as discussions around the next presidential election begin to gain momentum.
