Tony O. Elumelu, Chairman of UBA Group and Heirs Holdings, has called on governments, the private sector, and development finance institutions to work together in ensuring Africa fully benefits from the ongoing digital revolution. Speaking passionately about the continent’s potential, Elumelu emphasized that Africa must harness its abundant resources to uplift its own people and build sustainable prosperity.

“My call is to all of us — governments, private sector, and development finance institutions: let’s harness Africa’s resources for African people,” Elumelu stated, underscoring the need for collective responsibility in shaping the continent’s future.

He added that while UBA Group is actively championing conversations around digital transformation, achieving real progress requires unity of purpose. “We must not sit out this digital revolution,” he said. “At UBA, we’re driving that conversation, but we know we can’t do it alone.”
