Tottenham Linked with Record £4.5bn Takeover Bid Amid Ownership Denials

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly the subject of a world-record £4.5 billion ($6bn) takeover bid, fronted by Brooklyn Earick, a former DJ and NASA employee. Earick is said to be leading a 12-person investment consortium prepared to acquire the Premier League side from current owners ENIC and the Lewis family.

According to The Sun, the proposal includes:
•£3.3bn ($4.4bn) to purchase the club outright.
•£1.2bn ($1.6bn) “player budget” earmarked for transfers, wages, and agent fees.
•A £250m ($334m) stadium naming rights deal, a target Daniel Levy was never able to secure.

The group has reportedly pitched a “Tottenham 3.0” blueprint, with ambitions to make the club more competitive both domestically and in Europe. They are said to have backing from investors already tied to NFL and NBA franchises, adding further credibility to their bid.

If successful, the takeover would eclipse the £4.25bn ($5.7bn) paid by Todd Boehly’s consortium for Chelsea in 2022, making it the biggest in football history.

However, conflicting reports suggest that Tottenham are not for sale. Football.London cites sources insisting the Lewis family has no intention of parting with the club, echoing ENIC’s earlier rejection of preliminary bids—including one from an Asian consortium led by Dr Roger Kennedy and Wing-Fai Ng, as well as an approach involving Amanda Staveley.

Tottenham CEO Vinai Venkatesham reinforced this stance, saying:
“The Lewis family are really clear. They see their involvement in Tottenham Hotspur being long-term and continuing through the generations… Tottenham Hotspur is not for sale.”

Spurs currently sit third in the Premier League after five matches of the 2025–26 season, while also progressing in both the Champions League and Carabao Cup.

👉 The potential takeover has sparked debate: Is this the right moment for Spurs to consider fresh ownership and investment, or should ENIC’s long-term commitment prevail?
