Transnational Corporation Plc (Transcorp Group) has reported a ₦85.7 billion profit before tax for the first half of 2025, a 21% rise from ₦70.9 billion last year.
Revenue jumped 59% to ₦279.7 billion, driven by strong performances in power and hospitality. The group’s Transcorp Power and Transafam Power subsidiaries now provide over 20% of Nigeria’s installed generation capacity, while its hospitality arm was boosted by the launch of the Transcorp Centre in Abuja, a 5,000-seat convention facility.
Transcorp’s gross margin climbed to 47%, reflecting tighter cost control. The board also approved an interim dividend of ₦4.064 billion (₦0.40 per share).
Group CEO Owen Omogiafo said the results demonstrate resilience and growth despite economic headwinds.
