Pastor William Kumuyi, General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry (DCLM), has been invited to attend the inauguration of U.S. President Donald Trump.

Reports confirm that Kumuyi will be present at the event and participate in various significant engagements throughout his visit. He is set to join global leaders in Washington, D.C. on January 20, 2025, for Trump’s second and final inauguration.

Pastor Kumuyi expressed appreciation for President Trump’s support of the gospel, noting that his stance on religious freedom has been recognized not only by Christians in the U.S. but worldwide. “During his first term, President Trump hosted the first-ever meeting of foreign ministers focused on international religious freedom, and throughout his campaign, he pledged to champion Christian values,” Kumuyi said.

While in the U.S., Kumuyi will meet with members of Congress, church leaders, and media representatives to discuss faith-based initiatives. “This moment in history reminds us that faith unites believers across borders,” he stated. “In Washington, D.C., the global church will unite in prayer, advocating for religious freedom and promoting policies that support the growth of Christianity.”

Already in the U.S. with his wife, Esther, Kumuyi had previously addressed his global congregation in January, calling for a shift in mindset to better spread the gospel. “We cannot continue doing things the same way and expect different results,” he said. “We must engage with influential leaders to further the message of Jesus Christ.”
