Nigerian media personality Tunde Ednut has sparked fresh controversy after appearing to throw shade at Afrobeats star Wizkid. The jab came in the wake of Davido’s announcement that his family had acquired their third private jet — a move that drew widespread attention and congratulatory messages.

Ednut, who joined in congratulating Davido on Instagram, was asked by a follower when he planned to buy his own jet. In a response that quickly lit up social media, he quipped: “After Wizkid by God’s grace.”

The remark, widely interpreted as a dig at Wizkid, did not sit well with many fans. Some accused Ednut of deliberately fanning the flames of rivalry between the two Afrobeats giants, while others defended him as simply making light-hearted banter.
