
The United Kingdom government has announced the programme for the upcoming state visit of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, scheduled from March 17 to 19. The visit will be hosted at Windsor Castle and will include bilateral meetings, ceremonial events, and engagements with the Nigerian diaspora.
Preparations for the visit will begin on March 17, with security sweeps, road closures, and procession rehearsals ahead of the President’s arrival.
President Tinubu is set to officially arrive on March 18, where he will be received by Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales. A ceremonial welcome will take place on Datchet Road, featuring the playing of national anthems and a guard inspection.
Following the procession in a carriage to Windsor Castle, President Tinubu will be received by King Charles III and Queen Camilla, marking a historic diplomatic engagement between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
