However, police uncovered discrepancies in their story. Notably, Wendy was later spotted wearing a diamond ring she had claimed was stolen, raising suspicions. Further investigation revealed that numerous items the Osefos reported as stolen had been purchased and returned to stores for full refunds prior to the alleged burglary.
