Tennis icon and pay equity advocate Venus Williams is being immortalised once again by Barbie, this time as part of the dollmaker’s Inspiring Women collection. The new doll, set for release on Friday, depicts Williams in the outfit she wore during her 2007 Wimbledon victory — the year women’s prize money at the tournament was made equal to the men’s for the first time.

Retailing at $38, the doll captures the champion in an all-white ensemble, accessorised with a green gem necklace, wristband, tennis racket and ball, commemorating a career-defining moment in both sport and gender equality.

This marks Williams’ second Barbie collaboration in as many years; in May 2024, she was featured in a special edition celebrating nine trailblazing female athletes for Barbie’s 65th anniversary.
