

Vice President Kashim Shettima on Friday joined President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the National Assembly Complex, Abuja, for the presentation of the 2026 Appropriation Bill to a joint sitting of the Senate and the House of Representatives.
In his presentation, President Tinubu outlined the Federal Government’s fiscal priorities for 2026, emphasising macroeconomic stability, infrastructure development, security, human capital investment, and inclusive economic growth, as the administration advances the implementation of its Renewed Hope Agenda.
The budget presentation highlighted the government’s commitment to consolidating ongoing reforms, encouraging private-sector participation, strengthening institutional capacity, and addressing the welfare needs of Nigerians amid global and domestic economic challenges.
