Vice President Shettima Arrives in Angola for AU–EU Summit

Vice President Kashim Shettima has arrived in Luanda, Angola, to represent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the 7th African Union–European Union (AU–EU) Summit. On arrival, he was briefed by senior officials, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, and Nigerian ambassadors based in Addis Ababa, Brussels, and Luanda.

Over the next two days, Vice President Shettima will join African and European Heads of State and Government to discuss shared priorities, including peace and security, climate action, inclusive development, trade, the digital economy, and opportunities for youth and innovators across both continents.

The summit serves as a platform to strengthen cooperation between the AU and EU, fostering partnerships that promote sustainable growth, regional stability, and development across Africa and Europe.
