Vice President Shettima Visits Nasarawa State for Key Developmental Engagements

Vice President Kashim Shettima has arrived at the Lafia International Cargo Airport for a one-day working visit to Nasarawa State. He was warmly received by Governor Abdullahi Sule, Deputy Governor Emmanuel Akabe, and other senior government officials.

The Vice President’s itinerary includes several high-profile activities aimed at addressing critical needs and promoting development in the state.

One of the key highlights of the visit is the flag-off of relief material distribution to victims of recent flooding across the state’s affected local government areas. This initiative underscores the federal government’s commitment to providing immediate assistance to disaster-stricken communities.

In addition, Vice President Shettima will perform the groundbreaking ceremony for the Nasarawa State One-Stop Investment Centre, a project spearheaded by the Nasarawa Investment and Development Agency (NIDA). The centre is designed to attract investments and streamline business operations, marking a significant step toward economic transformation in the state.

The Vice President will also present certificates to graduates of the Nasarawa State Technology and Vocational Training Programme. The initiative, aimed at equipping youth with technical and entrepreneurial skills, reflects the government’s focus on reducing unemployment and fostering innovation.

Vice President Shettima’s visit reaffirms the federal government’s partnership with Nasarawa State in delivering sustainable development and addressing the needs of its citizens.
