Victor Osimhen delivered a breathtaking performance on Tuesday evening, netting a sensational hat-trick as Nigeria’s Super Eagles cruised to a commanding 4–0 victory over Benin in their World Cup qualifying clash.

The Napoli striker wasted no time setting the tone for the night, opening the scoring in the 3rd minute after a clever assist from Samuel Chukwueze. The Chukwueze–Osimhen connection struck again in the 37th minute, with the winger slicing through Benin’s defense to tee up the striker for his second of the night.

Nigeria went into halftime with a comfortable 2–0 lead, leaving the visitors struggling to cope with the Eagles’ relentless tempo.

Barely a minute into the restart, Victor Osimhen added a third goal, once again with Chukwueze providing the decisive pass—his third assist of the match. But the night belonged to Osimhen, who completed his hat-trick in the 51st minute after latching onto a perfectly timed cross from Moses Simon.

The Super Eagles maintained control until the final whistle, with substitutes Tolu Arokodare and Terem Moffi adding fresh energy in the closing stages.

Nigeria’s defense, marshaled by Semi Ajayi and Bright Onyemaechi, stood firm to preserve the clean sheet against a frustrated Beninese side that never found their rhythm.

With this emphatic win, Nigeria sent a strong message to their Group rivals—powered by Osimhen’s unstoppable form and Chukwueze’s creative brilliance.
