
Vice President Kashim Shettima joined other global dignitaries on Saturday at the Artificial Intelligence Session of the ongoing G20 Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The strategic session brought together key figures shaping global economic and technological policy, including Nigeria’s Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr Wale Edun; the Director General of the World Trade Organization, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala; the Director of Global Institutions at the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Amb BB Hamman; and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb Yusuf Maitama Tuggar.
Discussions at the AI session focused on strengthening global cooperation, harnessing emerging technologies for sustainable development, and ensuring that developing nations, including Nigeria, benefit from the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence.
The presence of Vice President Shettima and the high-powered Nigerian delegation underscores the Tinubu administration’s commitment to positioning Nigeria at the forefront of technological innovation and global economic dialogue.
