Vice President Kashim Shettima has departed Abuja for Kaduna State to commission the Tudun Biri Housing Scheme, a flagship project under the Resettlement Scheme for Persons Impacted by Conflict (RSPIC).
The housing project, whose foundation was laid in July 2024 by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, through VP Shettima, is designed to provide durable homes and restore dignity to victims of conflict and displacement. It forms part of the President’s non-kinetic strategy to address insecurity and its humanitarian consequences across the country.
Tudun Biri, a community that has faced significant displacement and trauma in recent years, now stands to benefit from a long-term solution. The commissioning of the housing scheme reflects President Tinubu’s commitment to moving beyond emergency relief toward resettlement, rehabilitation, and reintegration of affected persons.
