
Vice President Kashim Shettima has concluded a three-day visit to Maiduguri, Borno State, where he represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in extending the Federal Government’s condolences to victims of recent tragic incidents in the state.
During his stay, Shettima met with affected families and community leaders, expressing the government’s sympathy and pledging continued support for the welfare and security of residents across Borno and the broader Northeast region.
The Vice President also participated in the Eid al-Fitr celebrations, joining thousands of worshippers at Ramat Square in Maiduguri for the congregational prayers. He was accompanied by Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum, the Deputy Governor, and other senior federal and state officials.
After completing his official engagements and Eid celebrations, Shettima departed Maiduguri for Lagos.
