The Federal Government of Nigeria has advanced discussions with the Government of Poland to strengthen trade relations and expand strategic investments between both countries.
The Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, on Thursday received a high-level Polish delegation led by the Deputy Foreign Minister for Africa, Wojciech Zajączkowski, as part of ongoing efforts to deepen economic cooperation.
Minister Edun welcomed Poland’s increased engagement with Nigeria, noting that the nation’s economic outlook continues to improve on the back of far-reaching reforms, rising investor confidence, and more stable macroeconomic indicators. He urged Poland to leverage the vast opportunities in manufacturing, digital infrastructure, renewable energy, mining, agriculture, and defence technology.
Deputy Minister Zajączkowski reaffirmed Nigeria’s place as Poland’s top strategic partner in Africa. He commended the Nigerian government for its bold reforms and expressed Poland’s readiness to expand private-sector partnerships, digital governance collaboration, and bilateral trade.
Both parties agreed to accelerate dialogue, unlock new areas of cooperation, and support mutually beneficial investments that can drive sustainable growth for both nations.
