At the 31st Nigerian Economic Summit, the Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, emphasized that Nigeria’s reform agenda is ultimately about improving lives — restoring stability, curbing inflation, and ensuring shared prosperity for every household.

“The purpose of our reform journey is to break the cycle of macroeconomic instability that has historically undermined growth. The number one target of macroeconomic policy must be to fight inflation,” Edun stated.

He underscored the importance of partnership between government and the private sector — through investment, innovation, and thought leadership — to sustain progress and make prosperity inclusive.

Edun concluded with a call for collective discipline and resilience, noting that Nigeria can turn reform into tangible results and build a stronger, more stable economy.
